As we come to the end of 2018, I thought I'd take some time to reflect back on my year. The first six months of 2018 for me were spent on maternity leave. Can you believe my baby boy is now one already! Going back to work for any new mummy is difficult and driving to my first wedding back I did have a little cry after leaving him. But at the same time, I couldn't wait to get back to being creative again and it was so great to be photographing love stories again! I have been so lucky this year to have had the most wonderful couples who have trusted me to document their love story! I have been back to some of my favourite venues like Skylark Farm, Ashton Lodge and Draycote Hotel. I've also had the opportunity to visit some absolutely wonderful new ones too, like The Woodlands, Swallows Nest Barn, Riverside Stratford, Birtsmorton Court and more. Plus I have worked alongside some awesome suppliers! 2019 is already shaping up to be another brilliant year and I have some amazing weddings booked in! I do have some availability left, so if you're planning your 2019 wedding do get in touch to see if your date is free. 2020 is proving to be a popular year too and I will be taking bookings for 2021 soon. Request a brochure. It is always really hard narrowing down thousands of photos, but here are some of my 'highlights' from 2018.
Pre-wedding shoots have been so fun this year! I've photographed the cutest couples at some lovely locations - one took place at the seaside in Wales! One also included Archie the dog! I love doing pre-wedding shoots. Find out more about them here.
This year I also introduced family lifestyle sessions and it has been so wonderful having the opportunity to meet up with some past couples and photographing their new arrivals!
My family mean the world to me and this year has been a really exciting one for The Bennett's! Not only have Matt and I been blessed with our first year with Harry, but we also brought our first home and finally have a place to call our own! Harry has of course been photographed a lot. My new year's resolution should probably be to take more photos of him on my SLR cameras though, rather than just quick phone snaps! I did get out for a few shoots with him this year though. Two of my favourites being the bluebells in the spring and then pumpkin picking at a local farm in October! I know I'm biased, but he is such a cutie. I hope to recreate these photos again this year to see how much he has changed!
So that was my 2018... bring on 2019! Wishing you all a very happy new year! Amy x
