Wedding: July 2017
Cassie & Jack’s day at Skylark Farm was so much fun! I went to school with Cassie and so when she got in touch about me photographing their day I was very excited. Coverage began just before the ceremony. The ceremony took place in the gorgeous room at Skylark Farm, it was full of natural light (a photographers dream!) So many funny things happened during the ceremony and it was probably the funniest ceremony I’ve ever photographed the room was full of laughter and my cheeks hurt at the end from laughing so much.
After the ceremony, guests had drinks outside with gorgeous countryside views. After a group photo and confetti tunnel, it was time for the guests to take their seats for the meal. The reception room looked lovely with hessian lace details. Cassie had made pretty much everything decorations wise and she did such a great job. She even made the cake! The speeches were hilarious too and everyone had such a great time. Their nephew even got in on the action with a few words of his own.
After the meal and speeches, I headed outside with Cassie & Jack to take advantage of those beautiful views for couple photos. And then some fun family/bridal party group photos. It was then time to cut the cake and then they moved to the dance floor for their first dance, with a father-daughter dance afterwards. Just as I was about to leave, I spotted the sun was out again and so stayed for a few more couple photos in the sunset ‘magic hour’ light. This was my first visit to Skylark Farm, the first of many more to come too as I’m back there at the end of the month and next year. Such a lovely venue and Sam and the team were great! Looking forward to more weddings there soon.
