Wedding: August 2017
Stacee & Adam got married in August at Sketchley Grange. The morning started off in one of the hotel rooms, where Stacee got ready with her bridesmaids. Make-up was done by the lovely Sammie Lou MUA and hair by the talented Elite Hair Design (Elaine did my wedding day hair so it was lovely to see her again) Stacee's gorgeous dress was from Sammie Lou Bridal Couture and the flowers from Jeans Flowers Rugby. I loved the colourful bridesmaid's dresses and Stacee's brightly coloured bouquet. With Sammie there to do the make-up, it also meant she could help Stacee into her dress, also meaning the bridesmaids, mum and nan could get a surprise reveal of the bride - so of course, there were lots of tears at this point. Stacee also had a gorgeous moment with her son; his reaction to seeing her for the first time was so cute. Then it was dad's turn - moments like this I just love to capture! It was then time to head the ceremony room, beforehand I bumped into a nervous looking groom - Adam had arrived in a red vintage car and the driver handed him the nearly married sign - a photo opportunity too good to miss! The ceremony was full of so many smiles and laughter. It was lovely. Their son had the most important job as ring security! After the ceremony, the plan was to do group photos... the weather had different ideas! The rain started to come down... Stacee's reaction - it is just a bit of rain let’s go for it. For the big group shot, unfortunately, there was no option but to do it outside due to the size of the group. But do you know what this actually turned out to be probably my favourite group shot of the year! Guests had their umbrellas and it created a fun shot in the end and was all part of the story of the day. I love nothing more than couples that just embrace the weather on the day - the one thing you cannot plan for! When it came to the rest of the group shots we found some undercover area. I must say a huge thank you to my husband at this point for standing over me with a huge umbrella while the rain was absolutely chucking it down (you can even see it coming down in the photos if you look closely) Thank you to Stacee & Adam for making this part of the day run so smoothly and embracing the rain! We were really lucky with the weather after that as the sun came out just in time for confetti and a few couple portraits. Stacee & Adam had a Lego theme and each table had a bowl of Lego in the middle for guests to build whatever they wanted. The place names were all Lego figures and they even had a Lego themed cake by Jj'S Cakes Rugby. Stacee made a lot of the decorations herself and it looked fantastic! After the meal, it was time for the speeches, and their son even got up to do his very own speech. After that, they played a 'pub quiz' game with Stacee's team winning! As they sat down to eat there was a huge thunderstorm! But after all the speeches were finished there was the most beautiful magic light! I was so happy to get the couple out in the early evening sunshine for more portraits. It was then time to cut the cake and the first dance. Stacee then had a lovely dance with her dad. The band started to play and I left them to enjoy the rest of their day. I had such a great time photographing their day!
