Hey, I'm Amy, a wedding and portrait photographer based in The Midlands. I live in Rugby, Warwickshire, with my husband, Matt and our little boy, Harry and our new baby girl, Lola! I photograph weddings in Warwickshire, The Midlands and all over the UK.
When I'm not working, it is all about family time! We enjoy family adventures and woodland walks. We are really lucky to have gorgeous countryside right on our doorstep! We live near beautiful bluebell woods so it's a real treat to go there in the spring!
Autumn is my favourite season! I just love the gorgeous autumnal colours and the carpet of leaves. Plus I love any excuse to get a comfy jumper on, cosy up on the sofa with a blanket and hot chocolate, watching repeats of Friends (even if I have have seen 'The Last One' a thousand times, yes I still cry!) I love a good rom-com, from Bridget Jones to The Notebook. You know how most people say Christmas begins for them when they see the Coca-Cola advert... well for me it's when Love Actually is shown on TV! The bit where Colin Firth's character learns Portuguese to propose to his housekeeper gets me every time. Basically, I'm a sucker for a cute love story! (I love hearing about engagement stories and how couples met.)
I love floral dresses and anything with polka dots on - the majority of my wardrobe is either floral or spotty! I believe tea definitely tastes better from my favourite (spotty and floral!) Cath Kidston mug. I'm awful at cooking (luckily I'm married to a good cook) but I like to think I'm not too bad at baking - I make a rather tasty chocolate fudge cake. Although I'm not sure it would win me star baker on Bake Off!
I love crafting! I was a 'DIY bride' back in 2016 and crafted pretty much everything for our wedding. I even decided to be a florist for the day and made all the bouquets, buttonholes and table centrepieces myself! Extra brownie points if you're crafting for your wedding too! I love photographing details at a wedding - the little bits that make a day unique!
I have been to Glastonbury festival 5 times and I sometimes think maybe if we were to plan our wedding day again, we'd have a festival themed day! Not that we didn't have the best day ever already of course!

My journey into photography...
My dad brought me my first camera before a trip to London, I must have been about 5. It was a film camera and it came with a sheep camera bag which I loved! When I was a bit older, I would always be taking photos on my dad's 'fancy' film camera too. I remember being at my uncle's wedding and spending the whole time at the reception taking lots of photos. Little did I know, I would one day be a wedding photographer!
I got a digital camera for my 12th birthday and I would do little photoshoots with my friends. I mean, I cringe at those photos now... but it was all part of my journey into photography!
I studied art & design at college and it was there that my love for photography grew and developed into a real passion. After college, I studied at The University of Northampton and proudly graduated with a BA (hons) degree in Photographic Practice.
My style and approach...
I actually have the best job in the world - I get to capture love! I have been photographing weddings for over 8 years and I have been lucky enough to photograph so many beautiful love stories. Being asked to play such an important role on a couples wedding day is such a huge honour.
I describe my style as creative, natural & relaxed. I focus on capturing the story of the day as unobtrusively as possible. I'm a reportage style photographer, which basically means for most of the day I blend into the background, documenting moments as they happen. You can find out more about my style and approach to wedding photography here.
