My style and approach

Unobtrusively documenting the story of your day as it happens.
Capturing real smiles, happy tears, big hugs, fun, laughter and love!

I'm based in Warwickshire and photograph weddings all over The Midlands and the UK. I've been photographing weddings since 2014 and have been lucky enough to document so many beautiful love stories. I describe my style as storytelling. I document the moments of your day as they happen, as unobtrusively as possible.

From the morning preparations...

to the dancefloor shenanigans!

I love being there to photograph the whole story of your day, so coverage typically begins around two hours before the ceremony, starting with the morning preparations. It is such an exciting part of the day, with so much going on and lots of emotions and anticipation. I can typically only photograph one of you during this time unless you are getting ready at the same venue - then, it may be possible for me to pop between the two of you. But if you would like full coverage of both of your preparations, there is the option to add a second photographer to your package. I photograph throughout the day, right through to your evening reception. And I don't rush off as soon as the first dance is done - I love getting some photographic evidence of the dancefloor fun for you.

Beautiful portraits without missing the moments that matter!

I promise not to keep you away from the celebrations for too long! Those candid moments with your friends and family are just as important as the big epic portraits. I want you to spend your day with your favourite people, not hours posing for photos.
Around 15-20 minutes of couple portraits during your drinks reception is usually all it takes to create a beautiful set of images. Couples often tell me how much they love this little moment together to pause and take it all in.
If your timeline allows, I also love getting a few more portraits later in the day, usually after the food and speeches. I find that by then couples are often more relaxed, and it's often when there is that dreamy golden light as the sun sets. If it’s dark before I leave, I might steal you away for a creative night portrait too (worth 5 minutes away from the dancefloor, I promise!

"We're so awkward in front of the camera!"

Honestly, so many couples tell me this! I keep couple portraits relaxed and natural, offering gentle guidance when needed. But that doesn't mean cheesy grins or awkward poses. Taking authentic photos that truly reflect you as a couple is more my style.

Group photos with your VIPs

I know how important it is to have photos with your favourite people! I recommend keeping your group photo list down to no more than about 10 different groups. If there's a really long list to get through, it takes time away from me getting those natural, candid shots of you and your guests enjoying the day.

Little details

I love photographing all the little details of your wedding day, too. You put so much time and effort into planning your day... finding the perfect decor, choosing the beautiful flowers and picking the tastiest cake - so no detail will be forgotten!

"Amy took time to get to know us and it was like having a friend there on the day"

More than just a photographer...

One of the biggest compliments couples give me is that I was more than just a photographer; it felt like having another friend there on the day. I don't want you to feel like a stranger with cameras is turning up on your wedding morning, which is why I take the time to get to know you and hear all about your plans. You’ll also receive my wedding guide, which is full of helpful photography advice, plus tips and tricks I’ve picked up over the years.

On the day itself, couples often say I felt like an extra member of the wedding party! I’ve helped with countless fiddly dress buttons and pinned on plenty of buttonholes over the years. I always bring my little emergency kit, which has saved the day more than once. From plasters to a sewing kit, it’s stocked with those little things you or your guests might need. I’ve stitched buttons, fixed a bridesmaid dress when the zip broke, and even saved the day during a ceremony when the pen to sign the register had disappeared! I know that little unexpected moments can happen, and I’m always happy to help wherever I can.

The Experience

From checking my availability to receiving your photos... here is what to expect when you book me as your wedding photographer

1. Get in touch and let's chat!

The first step is to check if I have your date free by getting in touch here. I’ll check my diary and let you know if I’m available for your wedding date, and I’ll send over my e-brochure. I also offer a Zoom meeting (or a phone call if you prefer). This is a chance for us to meet, chat about your plans, and for you to ask any questions you might have.

2. Securing your date

If you decide I'm the photographer for you... YAY! The booking process is really simple, and everything is done online. First, I’ll send you a booking form to complete, followed by a contract to sign. There is a £250 booking fee to secure your date. Once the contract is signed and the booking fee is paid, the date is officially yours!

3. A little 'wedmin'

The remaining balance is due two weeks before your wedding. Being organised ahead of your wedding day is really important to me. A few weeks before, I’ll send you an online questionnaire to fill out. This gives me all the key details about your day: locations, your timeline and your group photo list.

4. Wedding day!

Yay! It's wedding time! You enjoy your day, while I photograph it all for you in my storytelling style.

5. Newlyweds – What's next?

A few days after the wedding, I’ll send some sneak peeks to keep you going while I work on the rest of your images. Your full gallery will be ready within 8 weeks. Your photos will be delivered in a beautiful, password-protected online gallery, where you can download, share and order prints and photo albums.
