Laura & Ashley | Cheylesmore Manor & Barnacles Bedouin Tent Wedding

Cheylesmore Manor & Barnacles Resturant Wedding

This wedding was extra special for me! I’ve known Laura for many years, and from the moment we met, she told me I would photograph her wedding one day. So when Ashley proposed and they set a date, the excitement was very real!

Their day was a gorgeous summer wedding with a mix of historic charm at Cheylesmore Manor and a unique reception setting at Barnacles, and most importantly, it was a celebration filled with family, friends, love and laughter.

The morning started at their home where Laura got ready with her bridesmaids, parents and the couple's son (Who I also photographed as a newborn!) Laura had told me how much a flat lay of her wedding details meant to her, and with so many gorgeous touches to include, I wanted to make it extra special. I used a green blanket as the backdrop - not only did it match their wedding colours, it was also the same blanket from their son’s newborn photos, adding such a sentimental touch.

Laura and her bridesmaids arrived at Cheylesmore Manor in a gorgeous green vintage VW campervan. Cheylesmore Manor in Coventry is such a beautiful wedding ceremony venue! After a confetti-filled exit, we took some couple photos before heading to the reception venue. Laura and Ashley found an absolute hidden gem for their reception. They hired the Bedouin Tent at Barnacles Restaurant in Hinckley - a cosy, rustic tent draped in fairy lights and full of laid-back, boho vibes. It was such a warm and intimate setting, and after a fun bubble entrance, guests enjoyed drinks and nibbles in the sunshine before sitting down for the speeches. The pizza van was a huge hit, and the golden hour didn’t disappoint either - The gorgeous lake at Barnacles made the perfect backdrop for some dreamy, romantic portraits. Laura and Ashley, I can’t tell you how much of a joy it was to photograph your wedding. From the moment you told me I’d be the one to capture your big day, I’ve been looking forward to it, and it was even more amazing than I imagined.
