Well, it's time to say goodbye to 2019 and hello to 2020!
The end of a year is always a good time to reflect back on the last 12 months and there is something really special about looking back at the galleries I've completed in the year. It is so wonderful to see all of the memories I've collected for couples and their families. The real moments, happy tears, fun, laughter and LOVE that I've documented for them. It is also great to be able to share some of my most recent work on the blog! (because, yes - I STILL need to catch up on blog posts from previous years and make a start on this year's weddings too!)
2019 has been an amazing year of weddings! I've had big weddings, small intimate weddings, blessings and even a secret elopement (where I was a witness as well as the photographer!)
I have been back to some of my favourite venues like Warwick House, Wethele Manor and Draycote Hotel. I've also had the opportunity to visit some wonderful new ones too like Rugby School, Dodmoor House, and Mallory Court. I am so grateful for every couple that has asked me to be a part of their day! What a truly amazing job I have.
We have also reached the end of a decade! And what a busy decade it has been. I finished art college, graduated with a photography degree, passed my driving test, brought my first car, went to Glastonbury 5 times (couldn't get tickets for 2020 though - boo!) got engaged, got married, had an amazing honeymoon, had Harry, brought our first home, set up two businesses and photographed over 100 weddings (and all with Matt by my side - we have been together for a decade also!)
I feel so proud of all I have achieved with my photography business and when I look back at my first weddings, I can really see how far I've come. I have learnt so much since my first wedding season and my style has definitely evolved. Although, I'm a big believer that you never stop learning and improving. My style will continue to develop but my focus will always be to document real moments and true emotions. So what does 2020 have in store for me? Well, I have so many gorgeous weddings booked in. I am really looking forward to photographing at some new venues like Slapton Manor and The Barn at Stratford Park Hotel. As well as returning to venues like Swallows Nest, Ansty Hall, Home Farm and Hothorpe Hall. I will also be back at the Draycote Hotel Wedding Show in March. I do have some availability left for 2020 and I am also taking bookings for 2021, so if you're planning your wedding get in touch to see if your date is free and request a brochure here. Narrowing tens of thousands of photos down into a blog post when I have so many favourites was difficult, but here are my 'highlights' from 2019.
