Hothorpe Hall & The Woodlands wedding photographer
When Claire first got in touch, it is safe to say I was very excited! They had a gorgeous rustic themed wedding at The Woodlands venue. The morning started at Claire's father's house. Remember the heatwave we had in the summer... yep this wedding was one of the hottest days! One of Claire's gorgeous little flower girls was on hand to fan her down though - so cute! Claire looked absolutely stunning in her dress from Tilly Trotter's Brides and Bryony Dalton MUA did a beautiful job. After the drive to the venue, it was time for the legal ceremony in the gorgeous room at The Woodlands. Claire & Mike then told guests to follow them and they led the way into the woods for an outdoor blessing. Jo Clarke from My Perfect Ceremony made their outdoor blessing so personal. They also included handfasting and I loved that they got the children guests to each place a ribbon over their hands, ending with the birthday boy, Claire's brother, tying them together. Claire is very creative and had made a lot of the decor herself and it looked beautiful with lots of rustic touches. Claire & Mike have a real love of the great outdoors, they named the tables after places in the Lake District. Mike loves cycling and regularly goes on long bike rides - in fact, that's how he found the venue! So Claire surprised him on the day with a gorgeous vintage bike from Nerissa Eve Weddings. The Woodlands is an incredible wedding venue and we were truly spoilt for choice with couple photo locations and with the weather onside we got the most amazing golden hour. I left Claire & Mike dancing the night away to their indie rock band The Anthemics.
