Swallows Nest Barn wedding photographer
Hannah and Andrew got married at the beautiful Swallows Nest Barn in Warwickshire. They had a small ceremony with their parents, bridesmaids and groomsmen in the gorgeous main barn at Swallows Nest. They were then joined by the rest of their guests for a reception in the beautifully decorated yurt. Unfortunately, it rained a lot on the day so we took a few couple portraits indoors. Although Hannah and Andrew mostly wanted me to photograph in my documentary approach anyway. By the evening it was still drizzling but I had an idea for a creative night portrait. I was so excited when Hannah and Andrew said they were up for braving the rain! They didn’t have a first dance and Hannah had said earlier in the day that she was disappointed she wouldn’t get to spin in her dress. I couldn’t let this bride not spin in her wedding dress on her wedding day! Which is where the idea for the last photo came from. If it rains all day on your wedding day what do you do? You dance in the rain of course! I love doing creative night portraits with couples when I can and this one turned out magical with the rain sparkles. Proof that you shouldn’t let the rain stop you from having the best day!
