Bourton Hall Wedding
Carrie and Stephen had their wedding at the beautiful Warwickshire wedding venue, Bourton Hall - a venue just 5 minutes down the road for me in Rugby.
The morning started in the gorgeous honeymoon suite at Bourton Hall, where Gemma Clarke and Elegance Bridal Hair Design worked their magic, transforming Carrie and her bridesmaids. It's one of my favourite 'getting ready areas' at a venue because not only is it spacious and beautifully decorated, but it also has so many large windows letting in so much natural light - it's a photographer's dream! Stephen also got ready in one of the other rooms at the venue so I could pop over to him and the groomsmen for the finishing touches, like cufflinks and ties. This is one of the advantages of both getting ready at the same venue if possible. The ceremony took place in The Italian Room - a gorgeous room with ornate ceilings and period features. It gave me Bridgerton vibes. After the ceremony, guests headed outside for confetti, and the weather was a perfect October day. The sun was shining, making the golden leaves on the trees pop even more against the vibrant blue skies. I'm an autumn lover, so I revelled in the colours, the trees, the carpet of leaves, and the enchanting low sun that bathed everything in a dreamy light. We were spoilt for choice with the couple portraits as Bourton Hall has an impressive 15 acres of gardens and woodland, plus views of Draycote Water. Another unique feature of this venue that I love is the staircase where couples do their first dance. Carrie and Stephen had their guests throw confetti down on them from the stairs, and it created the most magical photos. Of course, I couldn't leave without a creative night portrait, and it had to be outside the beautiful main entrance of the venue.
I loved photographing Carrie and Stephen's wedding at Bourton Hall, and I'm excited about my next visit to this gorgeous venue.
